We're an Australian family business, and we build websites for locksmiths

Websites for locksmiths. Built free, live in 5 days.

We build it for free — you see the whole thing finished before you pay a cent. After that it's $199/month, all in. No lock-in, no exit fee. Don't like it? Walk away, owe nothing.

Here's the short of it

What does a website for a locksmith actually cost?

Nothing to build. We design and build your website for free, and you pay nothing until you've seen it and approved it. From there it's $199/month for the Free Range Care Plan — hosting, security, backups and unlimited updates, all in. No setup fee. No lock-in. Cancel any time with 30 days notice. Want to own the code outright? Flat $1,800, available from day one.

Cost to build$0 — no setup fee, nothing upfront
Ongoing$199/month — hosting, updates, security, backups
ContractNone. Cancel any time, 30 days notice

Plenty of "free" websites are really a 12-month contract with the cost buried in the monthly fee. Ours isn't. Don't like the site? Don't pay for it. Stop liking it in month seven? Leave.

Let's talk about what's going wrong

Why nobody's finding your website

You're a good locksmith. That's not the problem. The problem is what happens before anyone picks up the phone.

Your site takes too long to load, so people give up and ring someone else.

More than half of people looking on their phone will leave if a page takes longer than three seconds to come up. Someone standing outside their own front door in the rain has zero patience — they hit back and call the next locksmith on the list. Usual cause is a heavy page nobody optimised.

We hand-code every site and keep the files small, so yours comes up fast.

People can't tell if you're local and actually available.

Locksmith searches are full of national call-centre operations that dispatch whoever's nearest and quote wildly. Customers have been burned and they're wary. If your site doesn't make clear you're a real local locksmith who'll answer the phone yourself, you look like more of the same.

We make your local presence and availability obvious, so people know they've found an actual local. People trust a properly licensed, registered locksmith, and business.gov.au points to the registrations you need in Victoria.

Google doesn't know what kind of locksmith work you do.

If your site just says "locksmith," Google has nothing to go on. It can't tell whether you do emergency lockouts, or rekeying, or commercial master key systems, or safes. So when someone nearby searches for one of those, Google shows them somebody else — because somebody else spelled it out.

We give each of your services its own page, so Google knows exactly what to show you for.

Your phone number isn't where a panicking person can find it.

Most of your calls come from someone locked out, on a phone, in a hurry. If your number isn't right there on the screen, ready to tap, you're not in the running — no matter how good you are or how close you are.

Your phone number sits at the top of every page, one tap away, on any device.

You're paying for leads you should be getting yourself.

Every lead you buy off a directory is a lead three other locksmiths bought at the same time. You're bidding against them on price, you're paying for the privilege, and the day you stop paying, the leads stop dead. You're renting customers who ought to be yours already.

Your own site, your own leads, one flat monthly. Nobody takes a cut.

We won't promise you page one of Google. Nobody can. What we build is the foundation — fast, structured properly, a page for every job you do. Without that, nothing else has a chance of working.

The work you do

Every type of locksmith job should have its own page

That's how people search, and it's how Google decides who to show them.

Emergency lockouts

The call that pays your bills — someone locked out of a house or car, right now. A page that loads instantly and puts your number one tap away wins that job outright.

Lock repairs and replacement

Broken locks, worn barrels, doors that won't latch. Steady, everyday work people search directly when something stops working.

Rekeying

After a break-in, a break-up, or moving into a new place. People search this by name and it's often urgent and emotional — a clear page reassures them.

Commercial and master key systems

A different customer entirely — businesses, offices, property managers who need proper systems, not a one-off callout. A page aimed at them catches contract work.

Safes

Supply, installation, opening and servicing. Specific, higher-value work most locksmith sites never mention.

Security upgrades

Deadlocks, window locks, security doors, smart locks. The planned work people research after they've had a scare.

Your free website includes five pages, so we'll build out the jobs that win you the most work — and you can add more later whenever you like.

Total across 12 months: $199 × 12 = $2,388

That's way less than what an agency would charge upfront. i-e $5,000–$25,000+

$199. That's probably less than a single call out fee

Now that's amazing!

Something worth thinking about

Your customer is standing in the cold with a flat phone battery, and that's the only test your website has to pass.

Most trades get found by someone sitting comfortably, researching. Locksmiths don't. Your biggest customer is standing outside a locked door, stressed, often at night, on a phone that's about to die. They're not reading your About page. They're not comparing quotes. They will look at the first two or three results, tap a number, and whoever picks up gets the job.

That means your website has exactly one job, and it isn't looking pretty. It's loading in under two seconds and putting a tappable phone number in front of a stressed person immediately. Every extra image, every slow script, every hunt for the contact page is a customer ringing someone else.

The second thing it has to do is prove you're actually local. Locksmith search results are full of national dispatch operations that quote one price and charge another, and people have learned to be suspicious. A site that clearly says who you are, where you are, and that you'll answer the phone yourself cuts through that in a way no amount of marketing copy can.

Fast, local, one tap to call. That's the whole brief for your trade, and it's what we build.

Questions we get asked a lot

The stuff you're probably wondering

I've already got a website. Why would I start again?+
Most were built once, years ago, by someone who's now unreachable — and your work has moved on since. If adding a service means chasing a developer and paying by the hour, it never gets done. Yours would be built to change.
Do you actually understand locksmithing, or do you just swap the photos?+
We build the pages around the jobs that pay — emergency lockouts, rekeying, repairs, commercial systems, safes, security upgrades — and we make sure your number is one tap away on every page. Not one generic "services" page with a stock photo.
Will this get me on the first page of Google?+
No. Nobody can promise that. What we build is the foundation — fast, structured properly, a page for each service, Google Business Profile set up. Without that, nothing else has a chance. Off-site SEO is a different service and we don't offer it.
I'm flat out. How much of my time does this take?+
One form, some photos of your work, and a review. We do the rest. If you don't get back to us, nothing happens and you've lost nothing.
What's the catch?+
There isn't one, but here's our business model in plain English: the build is free, and we make our money from the Care Plan once you're live. We only get paid if you love the site — which is exactly the incentive you want us to have.
Is it really free?+
The build is genuinely free — no setup fee, no deposit, no card details. The Care Plan (hosting, updates, upkeep) is $199/month, and it only starts when your site goes live.
What if I don't like the site?+
You walk away. No payment, no invoice, no hard feelings. And before that, you get a full 7-day review window with unlimited changes — batch your feedback into a list and we'll work through the lot.
How fast will it be ready?+
Ready to review within 5 business days of your completed form — or your first month is free. Once you approve and pay, it's live within 24 hours.
Am I locked into a contract?+
No. Month to month from day one, cancel anytime with 30 days notice. Watch out for "free website" offers that need a 12-month contract — that's not free, that's a lease with a smile.
Do I own the website?+
Your domain and your content are always yours, full stop. The site code stays ours while you're on the Care Plan — that's how we keep the build free — and if you ever want to take it elsewhere, you can buy it outright for a flat $1,800, anytime.
What happens if I cancel?+
Your site stays live through your 30-day notice, your domain goes with you, and you've got 30 days after that to buy the code if you want it.
Who qualifies?+
Tradies and local small businesses Australia-wide. Bigger or more complex operations usually fit Made to Order — get in touch instead.
What counts as an update?+
Changing text, prices, photos, services, testimonials — unlimited, included, turned around in 3–5 business days. New pages, redesigns and custom features are quoted separately.
Do you write the words?+
Yep, all of it. You fill in a short form about your business, we write every page from it, and you review the lot before anything goes live.
What if I already have a website?+
Even easier. We build the new one alongside it — your current site stays live until you approve the switch, so there's never a gap.
I don't have a logo or decent photos.+
Not a problem. No logo? We'll set your business name in clean type until you get one. No photos? We'll use quality stock imagery you approve.
Can you do online bookings or a shop?+
That's our Made to Order service — custom-quoted. Get in touch and we'll talk it through.
I don't have a domain name.+
We'll register one for you ($35/year) — in your name, so it's yours from day one. Already got one? We'll connect it, no charge.
Is there GST on top?+
No. $199 a month is the whole price.
Why are you so much cheaper than agencies?+
Custom-built sites, no office, no account managers, and smart use of AI in production. Same quality foundation, a fraction of the overhead — and we pass it on. We also cap how many builds we take each month, which is why the spots counter up top is real.
